2022 Women in Professional Services: Jodi Warren, Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP

Jodi Warren
Partner
Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP

In the last 12 months, what was your TOP career highlight? Helping clients maximize real estate and using their space/funds to further their missions and help their communities. Two highlights: Negotiating a long-term lease for a Manhattan church, securing additional space and funds to continue their mission for the next 40 years and negotiating a lease between two nonprofits for much-needed transitional housing.

In the last 12 months how have you helped your industry grow through professional creativity, innovation and leadership? My transactions consistently require out-of-the-box strategies that keep my clients’ mission at the forefront and the organizations properly protected. I have continued to find legal solutions that address the interests of boards, leadership, and members while also supporting the short and long-term needs of the organizations I represent.

What advice would you give the next generation of women in your industry? Stay confident in the value you bring to the table and strive for success on your own terms. You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room to be the most impactful.

In the last 12 months, what ONE award were you most proud to receive? Being recognized again as a Super Lawyer by my peers.
