2022 Women in Professional Services: Elizabeth Brown, Rosenberg & Estis, P.C.

Elizabeth Brown
Of Counsel
Rosenberg & Estis, P.C.

In the last 12 months, what was your TOP career highlight? I was promoted to of counsel less than four years after joining Rosenberg & Estis as an associate. As this is a rank that can evade attorneys for years, I am very proud and gratified that my hard work and commitment to developing positive client relationships was recognized.

In the last 12 months, what ONE award were you most proud to receive? I was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star. Only five percent of state attorneys under the age of 40 are selected to Rising Star so it is a professional achievement of which I am extremely proud.

In the last 12 months how have you helped your industry grow through professional creativity, innovation and leadership? Becoming a mentor to young people interested in pursuing a legal career has enabled me to encourage many to investigate opportunities in the real estate industry. I frequently speak with students from all over the country who are looking for advice on how to break into the real estate industry.

What advice would you give the next generation of women in your industry? Follow your instincts. People told me I was crazy to go into real estate litigation, but there was something in my gut telling me it was my calling. Had I listened to naysayers, I would not be where I am today, professionally or personally.
