Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck, LLP

In the last 12 months, what was your TOP career highlight? In the past year, I successfully resolved two contentious cases for two separate clients embroiled in years-long, multi-million dollar litigations. In each of the cases, the opposing party sought extensive monetary relief from my client; however, both cases resolved with the respective opposing party making monetary payment to my clients.

In the last 12 months, what ONE award were you most proud to receive? One award I was most proud to recently receive was being named a Subcontractors Trade Association, Inc. (NYC Chapter) Emerging Young Professional.

In the last 12 months how have you helped your industry grow through professional creativity, innovation and leadership? I am passionate about helping minority and women-owned business entities, who often face difficult barriers of entry, succeed in the industry despite the objectives of certification programs. I frequently write and speak on this issue at networking events and provide strategic counsel to further advance the visibility of these businesses.

What advice would you give the next generation of women in your industry? Not to be discouraged by the lack of gender diversity in the real estate development/construction industry; it is changing slowly and, in my experience, those that are doubted the most rise to exceed expectations.
