2022 Industry Leaders: Jamie Katcher, Raise Commercial Real Estate

Nominee’s Name & Job Title: Jamie Katcher, Managing Director, New York

Nominee’s Company/Affiliation: Raise Commercial Real Estate

Nominee’s City & State of Employment: New York, N.Y.

What is your management style?

Approachable. I try my best to show up as a mentor rather than just a manager. Nurturing a trusting relationship with your colleagues is invaluable, and I strive to be someone my team can come to for guidance.

What award were you most proud to receive?

Early in my career, I was the recipient of the “Most Promising Broker” award within my previous firm. This truly reaffirmed my commitment and passion for the industry and set the tone for the trajectory of my career as, the very next year, I received the same honor from REBNY.

What leadership role outside of the workplace is most rewarding to you?

Without a doubt, being a father is not only the most rewarding role I have and will ever hold, but the most valued and incomparable by far.

What advice would you give the next generation of leaders in your industry?

Go into every situation with an open mind and treat everyone with respect regardless of status or title—this helped me as I had the opportunity to become a founding member of Raise’s NYC team. And most importantly, don’t forget to have fun—it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
