What award were you most proud to receive?

The CREWNY Founders’ Award. The Founders’ Award recipient represents the finest qualities of CREW New York, consistently supports the organization’s mission and goals and does so with exceptional generosity in sharing her time and talent in support of other women.

What advice would you give the next generation of leaders in your industry?

Ask questions, take initiative and be dedicated to your career. Leadership in the legal field is very difficult but when you do it well, it’s personally rewarding to know that you’ve advanced the profession and truly helped your clients.

What leadership role outside of the workplace is most rewarding to you?

I am currently a member of the Governing Committee of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law, which is responsible for the leadership and administration of the Forum’s activities.

What was the most difficult experience you have encountered as a leader?

Managing a team that went fully remote overnight during the pandemic was a challenge. Fortunately, our strong, close-knit culture at Z&D allowed us to continue servicing our clients seamlessly and has strengthened our relationships, but when it started, we were dealing with so much change so fast.
