Rockland Economic Development Corp.'s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (REDC's PTAC) encourages businesses to attend its free program on Thursday, September 13 titled "How to Do Business with the U.S. Department of the Interior." Mark Oliver, MPA, CAPM, director, office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, U.S. Department of the Interior, will discuss the small business program that promotes small business contracting opportunities with the U.S. Department of the Interior. Oliver is a federal executive with over 26 years of experience in the areas of small business program administration, education, community relations and as a congressional liaison. He has an in-depth understanding of the initiatives and requirements to direct progressive internal marketing tools for small businesses. Check-in is at 9 a.m. and the program starts at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held at Westchester Community College, 75 Grasslands Rd., Classroom Building, Room 100. Registration is required. About PTAC: The PTAC program, a nationwide program that works with small businesses that have been actively pursuing and getting business for at least one year, is a comprehensive resource for small businesses that seek to market and sell its products and/or services to government agencies—the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), federal, state and local governments and their prime contractors. PTAC acts as a bridge between a government buyer and supplier. REDC's PTAC serves businesses in the Lower Hudson Valley Region including Rockland, Orange and Westchester Counties. All services are free of charge. Rockland Economic Development Corporation (REDC) is a 501c3 not-for-profit contract agency of the County of Rockland. Programs and services are made possible with financial support from the County of Rockland, the U.S. Department of Defense, corporate grants and private sector contributions.
