According to the Building Trades Employers' Association (BTEA), the 2014 Alfred G. Gerosa Leadership Dinner will take place on Wednesday, June 11th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Cipriani Wall Street. The annual event recognizes the leadership, commitment and vision of outstanding industry professionals.
Named for the late construction industry visionary, Alfred Gerosa, the dinner will honor three eminent men and women for their leadership and service to the industry over the course of their distinguished careers. The honorees will include Sharon Greenberger, senior vice president of facilities development and engineering at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Lorraine Grillo, president and CEO at School Construction Authority and David Rothstein, executive vice president of construction at Extell Development.

Greenberger has over 20 years of urban planning and development, design, construction and operations management experience and is currently senior vice president of facilities development and engineering at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Her responsibilities include overseeing the hospital's offices of corporate engineering, facilities operations, facilities design and construction and capital asset planning and development. Prior to joining New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Greenberg served as senior vice president at Columbia University Medical Center and held several leadership roles in the Bloomberg administration including COO of the department of education and president and CEO of the New York City School Construction Authority.
Grillo began her career at the New York City School Construction Authority over 18 years ago as a community relations specialist for the borough of Queens. She was soon promoted to the position of director, then senior director of government and community relations and again as senior director of real estate services. In May of 2010, mayor Bloomberg and chancellor Klein appointed Lorraine acting president and CEO. After successfully opening 26 new schools, the single most successful year in School Construction Authority history, Grillo was appointed as president and CEO.
Rothstein, who has over 26 years of New York City building experience, manages construction activities from conception to completion for Extell Development projects in all locations as executive vice president of construction. A prior principal and founder of Pierpont Group, Rothstein was also formerly a principal at Millennium Partners where he directed and managed construction activities on all projects. He has also served as director of construction for General Atlantic Realty Corp., managing over 1,000 housing units.
