Foit-Albert completes 136-unit Village Green Townhomes for $19.375m

Glen Falls, NY Foit-Albert Associates, Architecture, Engineering, and Surveying, P.C. has completed the $19.375 million Village Green Townhomes.

This project involved the demolition of an aging, 136-unit, multi-family housing complex located in downtown Glens Falls and the construction of 136 multifamily affordable housing units. The townhomes consist of 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom flats. The new development also includes two-story townhomes and a three-story building apartment building that will house frail elderly apartment units, community room, leasing office, public laundry, maintenance workshop, mechanical/electrical room, and trash compactor.

"This was a large project with the potential to change a part of the City of Glens Falls for the better," said project manager Peter Signorelli, AIA. "The end result exceeded our expectations. It was a real pleasure to have been part of such an ambitious project."

In addition to designing the architectural portions of this project, Foit-Albert also designed the engineering portions including: new roadways; parking lots; water, sewer, and stormwater systems; site lighting; walkways; traffic signs; dumpsters; community mailbox areas; landscaping; and ADA accessible ramps.Foit-Albert also provided construction support services throughout the project construction period.

The owner is Marathon Development Group & Evergreen Partners. M/E Engineering provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing services. Dente Engineering was the geotechnical engineer and Jansen Kiener was the structural engineer.
