What market trend(s) will impact your industry in 2019?
The better part of my commercial law practice has involved the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of retail properties, including regional malls, power centers, lifestyle centers and strip centers.
The on-going shake up of the retail industry and the growth of on-line shopping will continue to pose challenges to the developers in the coming year as they continue to look for innovative ways to attract customers and increase traffic to their properties.
The task for the attorney is to work alongside the developers in repositioning their properties for decades ahead.
