There is a potential storm brewing – rising interest rates, compressed cap rates and changes to the expiring Rent Laws could lead to a significant increase in mortgage defaults. Lender’s will opt to increase the pace to sell their non-performing debt.  In the past few weeks, we have purchased more than $19 million of non-performing notes and mortgages and we expect the trend to continue throughout the coming year.
