What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018?
Our Student and Faculty Emergency Response Security Training (SaFERST) received recognition as the Most Innovation New Solution in Homeland Security for 2018 from American Security Today. SaFERST teaches life safety and security skills throughout a student’s academic life, and can be used in the classroom or at home.
Frustrated with the rhetoric after Parkland, we brought together people from academia, security and concerned parents to share what they wanted the program to do.
My book, Pip and the Land of Blue Trees is just the first installment in the SaFERST program that makes safety/security learnable and fun.
