Wyoming County Community Hospital to begin $4.4 million renovation phase

According to Wyoming County Community Hospital, will begin a $4.4 million renovation project on its North Main St. campus. The undertaking is one phase of a $20 million development that aims to:
* Improve the emergency department;
* Build a new entryway, registration area and pre-admission testing area; and
* Renovate the nursing home adjacent to the hospital.
According to Donald Eichenauer, hospital CEO, "We did a lot of work on making the facility more handicapped accessible last year, and the actual work on the buildings and the nursing home is beginning this week. Really its just bringing it into the current century."
Wyoming County Community Hospital consists of a 60-bed acute care center, a 160-bed nursing home and a 12-bed behavioral health unit. The health facility also offers a clinic and outpatient services to the area's residents.
