According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 1800 the world population was at 1 billion, by the new millennium, the population had already reached 6 billion people, thus making the world realize, at this rate of growth, the world population will put a strain and eventually consume all of the earth's natural resources; preventing our future generations from enjoying the quality of life we are accustom to today.
You can slow down this process by applying the "green" energy philosophy into your building's systems, by making them run more efficiently, which will allow you to save energy and money; enabling you to make more energy efficient improvements and strengthen your bottom line.
Here are a few suggestions you can do to your building to ensure you are doing your part:
Booster Systems: Have a booster system designed to your buildings specifications -creating a "Lead Lag" System - preventing the use of unnecessary energy.
Control Panels: Install programmable control panels on your existing pumps - allowing them to be used only when needed.
Variable Frequency Drives: Install VFD to reduce energy costs and prolong the life of motors. Rotating equipment accounts for 50% of the total electrical energy generated in the U.S. Fans, blowers, compressors, and pumps consume 65% of this total. Variable Speed Drive technology allows your building to gain in both productivity improvements and reduced energy consumption.
Steam Traps: Start the maintenance of traps at three years - change all Steam Traps older than five years.
Maintenance Programs: Put all of your buildings equipment on a maintenance program - ensuring longer life and greater savings.
Pump & Motor Corp. has the experience, expertise and equipment for your building, to ensure you are doing your part to go "green." We look forward to helping you make the "green" pump & motor transition.
