Weisberg appointed chair of the cooperative and condominium law committee of N.Y.C. Bar Association
Montgomery McCracken partner Phyllis Weisberg has been appointed to serve as chair of the cooperative and condominium law committee of the New York City Bar Association. Now in a transition period with current chair, Andrew Brucker, her 3-year term commences September. The cooperative and condominium law committee addresses legal issues specific to cooperatives and condominiums, including recent case law, lender policies, governance issues, discrimination in co-ops and condos, and issues between boards and apartment owners. The committee comments on pending legislation and drafts proposed legislation. It also develops forms used by practitioners, including, most recently, a condominium unit sales contract. The committee presents several CLE programs throughout the year.
