Weiner promoted as director of interior design at Ismael Leyva Architects

New York, NY Ismael Leyva Architects has promoted Genna Weiner to director of interior design.  In this role, Weiner will work with clients to develop project specific design identities that are unique to their buildings. Weiner was previously a senior interior designer at the firm, and has worked on projects such as 507 West 28th St., 152 East 87th St., 200 South 3rd, and 515 West 36th St.

“Genna is an integral part of our team, she brings a high level of design expertise and creativity to every project in which she is involved,” said Ismael Leyva, president of Ismael Leyva Architects. “We are thrilled to announce Genna’s promotion.” 

With over 12 years of professional experience at New York City based architecture and interior design firms, Weiner’s project portfolio includes high profile hospitality, mixed use and residential projects. During her time at Ismael Leyva Architects, Weiner has shown strong design principles, a creative outlook, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the continued success of this creative firm,” said Weiner. “I look forward to embracing the new challenges this role may bring.”

Weiner is a licensed interior designer (NCIDQ), an affiliated member of the NYC AIA Interiors Committee Board, and a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University.
