Weiner joins Thornton Tomasetti as vice president

According to Thornton Tomasetti, Harvey Weiner has joined the firm's N.Y. office as vice president. Weiner has 30 years of experience in electrical engineering, including automation, process control, electrical utility systems and emergency power systems. Weiner is a member of the firm's MEP team and will support the Building Performance and Property Loss Consulting practices. Prior to joining Thornton Tomasetti, he was a manager in the electrical utilities division of Pfizer/Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Pearl River where was in charge of the electrical utilities department, ensuring the sustainability of the site's electrical grid. Weiner is a licensed electrical contractor in New Jersey. He has professional training in such areas as electrical hazardous locations, industrial Ethernet communications, power factor correction, harmonics and power transmission. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Farleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, N.J. and a master's graduate certificate in Pharmaceutical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark. Weiner is also a member of the Instrumental Society of America.
