New York, NY James Walsh has been appointed director of information technology (IT) for the U.S., Central & South America region of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.
In his new position, Walsh will be responsible for delivering technology and innovation across all business sectors. He will be based in New York.
Walsh has over 30 years of experience in corporate management, IT operations and services as well as management consulting. He has held senior management positions at several Fortune 500 corporations as well as small software companies and management consulting firms.
“Jim has a proven track record of creating business value, applying technology, and automating business processes at large global companies,” said Greg Kelly, president and CEO of the U.S., Central and South America region of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff. “His previous experience will be invaluable as we continue with the integration and enhancement of IT operations across our region.”
Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Walsh was president of WBG Group, a management consulting firm that specializes in helping companies create sustainable growth and value. He previously served as senior vice president and chief technology officer at a global consulting engineering organization.
Walsh holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.B.A. in finance and business law from Temple University.
