Visit Binghamton invites everyone to “Be Part of Our Story”

March 14, 2023 - Upstate New York

Binghamton, NY Visit Binghamton launched a new website dedicated to an inclusive tourism experience called Accessible Bing.

Project manager McKenna Brown said, “Visit Binghamton recognized the need for a comprehensive accessibility guide to the area and worked with our attractions, restaurants, and hotels to provide it. We have a very accessible community, and we hope this guide allows visitors and locals to take advantage of that. We are excited to welcome visitors of all abilities into Broome County!”

The site guides visitors of different abilities to all of Binghamton and surrounding communities’ accessible amenities, including restaurants, breweries, attractions and accommodations. Each page offers visitors a complete listing of accessible businesses according to that specific feature, which are categorized as “Eat & Drink,” “Things to Do,” and “Where to Stay.”

Broome County executive Jason Garner said “When people visit our community, we want them to know that there is something for everyone to do, regardless of age or ability. Thank you to Visit Binghamton for including this important information in its outreach efforts. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Broome County soon!”

“Broome County is working to be an accessible destination for travelers and our residents,” said Broome County legislature chairman and 5th District legislator Dan Reynolds. “This initiative provides important accessibility information while showcasing the many attractions, places and opportunities our community has to offer.”
