New York, NY New York-based UtiliSave, the country’s preeminent optimizer of utility data, has recovered $810,000 for a 1,400-unit housing cooperative. The company uncovered the co-op’s financial windfall through its forensic utility bill analysis, BillAudit. After identifying the opportunity, UtiliSave presented their findings to the utility provider and requested that the co-op be serviced under this new rate. Working on the client’s behalf to support the claim. UtiliSave won the co-op a substantial refund of over $560,000. Future energy savings for the co-op is estimated at $250,000 a year. “This was obviously a big win for our friends at the co-op and a big win for us as well,” said UtiliSave CEO, Michael Steifman. “There are over 1,400 families in that development who will ultimately benefit from these savings. The refund alone amounts to thousands of dollars for each apartment. It feels good to be able to create those kinds of results for our clients.” The country’s foremost specialist in forensic utility bill auditing, UtiliSave LLC extracts value for its clients through data optimization. Equipped as a total utility management partner, the company benefits not only large energy consumers, but Efficiency Project Providers and ESCOs/Utility Companies as well.  Core products include BillAudit™ and UseAudit™ which analyzes historical utility data to identify refund opportunities and operational inefficiencies, and Utility Management Interface (UMI) – a user-friendly energy management platform.
