Urban Green Council to hold gala on November 10th

New York, NY The 2015 Urban Green Gala will be held on November 10th from 6 to 10 p.m. The celebration will be held at Tribeca Rooftop Three-Sixty, 10 Desbrosses St. Join the Urban Green Council in recognizing the work of their honorees, as well as this year’s progress in building a sustainable city. Honorees include:

• Christopher Erikson, business manager, IBEW Local 3 Electricians: A member since 1975, Erikson has served as Local 3’s business manager for nearly 10 years. He has facilitated improvements in benefits for tens of thousands of Local 3 members, as well as investments in training opportunities, such as Urban Green’s GPRO program. Erikson is also involved in leading the NYC Building and Construction Trades Council, NYC Central Labor Council, Madison Square Garden Labor Committee, Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Memorial Association, and NY State Allied Printing Trades Council.

• Rick Fedrizzi, CEO and founding chair, U.S. Green Building Council: As a co-founder of the U.S. Green Building Council 22 years ago, Fedrizzi’s vision for the LEED building certification program turned green building into a worldwide movement, impacting countless projects and builders around the globe. He is also involved in the Center for Health and the Global Environment at the Harvard School of Public Health, Delos, Watsco, and the World Green Building Council.

Event price: Chairman – $25,000; Benefactor – $15,000; Host – $10,000; Patron – $7,500; Supporter – $2,500; and Friend – $750.
