United Properties Corp. expands Wisconsin and Illinois retail presence adding 200,000 s/f

West Allis, WI United Properties Corp. completed two retail acquisitions totaling $27.4 million across Illinois and Wisconsin, adding 205,000 s/f of shopping center space to its portfolio.

Newly acquired properties:
In Wisconsin, the company acquired Southdown Shopping Center, an eight-acre retail destination located at 2900–3008 S. 108th St. (Hwy. 100 corridor), for $14.5 million. The center features anchors, including Chuck E Cheese, Buffalo Wild Wings, Advance Auto and Panera Bread. The transaction adds to United Properties growing Wisconsin holdings, which previously totaled 296,784 s/f, and now includes the Times Square Shopping Center, 7600 W. Capitol Dr., Milwaukee, River West Shopping Center, 320–362 and 370–380 E. Capitol Dr., Milwaukee, and the Mill Road Shopping Center, 6406–6530 N.76th St, Milwaukee.

In Burbank, Illinois, United Properties Corp. acquired Burbank Plaza, a 99,395 s/f grocery anchored shopping center located at 7910 S. Cicero Ave., for $12.8 million. Located at the intersection of 79th Street and Cicero Ave., the center is 100% occupied and anchored by one of Chicago’s leading grocers, Jewel-Osco, alongside national retailers, inclusive of dd’s Discounts and H&R Block.

These transactions build United Properties Corp.’s continued acquisition momentum, following its most recent $48.2 million investment in four core retail centers spanning New York, Illinois, and Virginia.

• Bishop Plaza — Chicago, IL — 76,000 s/f — $11.5 million

• Shops at Romeoville — Romeoville, IL — 82,687 s/f — $11.1 million
