Unger of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates completes $5 million sale of 39 Ferris Street in Brooklyn

Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, Inc. (KDA) arranged the $5 million sale of a 6,000 s/f warehouse and 14,000 s/f parking lot at 39 Ferris St. in the Red Hook section of the borough. Neil Dolgin and Kalmon Dolgin, co-presidents of KDA, made the announcement. The seller, 39 Ferris Street LLC, was represented by Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates broker Jeffrey Unger, while the buyer, Kobe Bussan USA, was represented by Yoko Evans of Furumoto Realty. The warehouse at 39 Ferris Street was owned by and used as a bus depot for the former Fung Wah Bus Transportation, Inc., which offered roundtrip service from New York City to Boston. The buyer, Kobe Bussan, a Japanese supermarket and restaurant, will open a new location at 39 Ferris St. for warehousing and distribution of its goods. The 14,000 s/f parking lot is ideal for Kobe Bussan's fleet of trucks. Located between Sullivan St. and King St. in Red Hook, 39 Ferris St.offers close proximity to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, Battery Tunnel, and Prospect Expressway. The property is situated in a thriving area which includes Ikea, Fairway Market, Sixpoint Brewery, and a number of new residential developments. The New York water taxi also offers express service from Lower Manhattan straight to the Ikea dock a few blocks away.
