Queens, NY June 14th’s baseball subway series was, as always, a big hit! IREM NYC industry partner Ascend Consulting Group sponsored the tailgate; former IREM chapter president Frank Socci served as in-house chef. Cornhole, music, dancing ensued. A good time was had by all and to top it all off, the Mets won!

IREM NYC hosts monthly member meet-ups--informal get togethers where chapter members have the opportunity to relax and decompress! June’s event was at the Bohemian Beer Garden in Astoria.

Ascend Consulting Group recently joined IREM NYC as an industry partner.  They specialize in elevator consulting services for property developers, REITs, building owners, managers, co-op/condominium boards, engineers, and architects seeking a partner with deep expertise to advise on elevator investment, future planning, code compliance and project management. Ascend consults on all aspects of elevator optimization and investment, including modernization, evaluation, code compliance, witnessing, maintenance audits, new installation, planning, design build and expediting services.

Randall Powell said, “Industry partnership is an important and valuable component of IREM and we’re happy to welcome Ascend. We’re already planning a webinar so Ken and his team can provide our members with updates and information on NYC elevator code compliance. Our chapter’s success relies heavily on the hard work of volunteer board members.”
