New York, NY Two Hilton Garden Inns designed by Gene Kaufman Architect (GKA) will top out this month — one a 108,000 s/f hotel at 6 Water St. developed by Magna Hospitality, and the other an 89,000 s/f property at 326 West 37th St. between Eight and Ninth Aves. developed by the McSam Hotel Group. Together the locations will add 200,000 s/f and 500 rooms to city’s hotel capacity in two popular destinations for tourists, Lower Manhattan and Midtown West.

The location at 6 Water St. has a complex building envelope that benefits from air rights obtained from the adjacent Hampton Inn, also designed by GKA. The upper floors offer harbor views and amenities on multiple levels, including a restaurant on the third floor.

VLDG, Inc. is designing the interiors, which include 152 guest rooms, a fitness center, an office center and the restaurant/bar.

The 22-story, 250-room Hilton Garden Inn at 326 West 37th St. will have a gym, a restaurant/bar, an office center, a back terrace and outdoor parking, as well as interiors by Hotel Depot.
