Tri-State Façade Services re-brands to reflect all services provided

After over 25 years in business, co-owners Jim and David Grady decided it was time for a change.  A name change and new logo to be exact–Tri-State Façade Services was born to more accurately reflect the company’s services. The decision for the company name change wasn’t a hard one as Tri-State had already morphed through a few early incarnations.   In 1988 the Grady's bought a small company in Connecticut, Maintenance Company of Danbury.  The next year they acquired Nanuet Window Cleaning and a year later the two were merged to form Tri-State Window Cleaning. Branching into Albany The Grady’s acquired CleanRite Window Cleaning which was then folded into the Tri-State name.  About 10 years ago Tri-State then acquired Sunset Window Cleaning, which became Sunset Building Services operating out of Massachusetts. The company was growing and as time went on, Jim and David Grady noticed more and more that the services they were providing for our customers didn’t just focus on window cleaning.   They were now doing waterproofing, caulking, brick pointing and painting, even building a brick wall! Tri-State branched out even further by purchasing two Denka Atrium lifts. Dusting and high atrium window cleaning was becoming ever more popular within their customer base.   Arenas and conference centers were now contracting us to remove years of build up on rafters and exposed beams to create a cleaner environment. The company continues to expand its knowledge of current methods, products and procedures being used in the industry. David Grady currently serves as the past president for the Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute (SWRI), spearheads and oversees all waterproofing activities. Dave has a vast background of safety experience and has certifications in Seismic Joint Installation. Dave is also a certified trainer for Aerial Lift us as well as scaffolds through the SAIA. Jim Grady serves as the general manager of Tri-State Façade Services, oversees the capital district and upstate New York as well as handling marketing and sales. He has also served on the Sealant Waterproofing and Restoration Institutes BOD, as IWCA president and currently serves on the CRBOMA board. With offices in Connecticut, New York, Albany, Syracuse and Massachusetts, Tri-State Façade Services performs caulking, brick pointing, seismic joint installation, elastomeric coatings, power washing and  windows too!

The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking
