Tishman Speyer to partner with Michelin-Starred chef Gabriel Kreuther on two new restaurants at The Spiral

Manhattan, NY Tishman Speyer will collaborate with two-Michelin-starred Chef Gabriel Kreuther to bring two new dining concepts to The Spiral, Tishman Speyer’s recently-completed 66-story office tower on Midtown Manhattan’s West Side. The street-level restaurants overlook the four-acre Bella Abzug Park.

Chef Kreuther, alongside business partner Eben Dorros, will operate a 5,700 s/f full-service restaurant serving lunch and dinner on the corner of 34th Street and Hudson Blvd. On the corner of 35th St. and Hudson Blvd., the team will create an all-day café serving breakfast and lunch, and featuring small plates and specialty wine and cocktails in the evening. Both restaurants are slated to open in 2024.

“We are thrilled to partner with Tishman Speyer on these two new concepts at The Spiral,” said Kreuther. “We plan to create these separate dining experiences that reflect the tastes of the neighborhood and community, both places to enjoy on any occasion. Our team is excited to bring our singular approach and commitment to high quality ingredients and techniques to West Midtown.”

“Our partnership with chef Gabriel and Eben aligns with our vision for heightened dining experiences at The Spiral,” said Tishman Speyer managing director Amir Sperling. “We have no doubt that their incredibly talented team will produce two new culinary standouts for workers, residents, and visitors to the West Side community.”

During the first decade of his career, chef Kreuther built his name at Michelin-starred kitchens throughout Europe. He then traveled to the United States where he started at La Caravelle and then as chef de cuisine at Restaurant Jean-Georges in Central Park before becoming executive chef of the Atelier in the Ritz-Carlton and The Modern. A member and mentor for the Bocuse d’Or USA Culinary Council, Kreuther was also named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs in 2003 and received a 2009 James Beard Foundation award for “Best Chef: New York City.”

In June 2015, Kreuther opened the restaurant, Gabriel Kreuther, where he combines his classic French training and Alsatian heritage with his love of New York City to create a comfortably luxurious experience. Just a few of the accolades Gabriel Kreuther Restaurant has already received include The AAA 5 Diamond Award, Best New Restaurant of the Year by New York’s Village Voice, 3 Stars from The New York Times and Two Michelin Stars.

Designed by BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, The Spiral rises to 1,031 ft. and features a cascading series of landscaped terraces and hanging gardens as its signature element. The terraces ascend one per floor in a spiraling motion to create a unique, continuous green pathway that wraps around the façade of the tower, supplying its occupants with readily accessible fresh air and outdoor space.

The Spiral, which is targeting LEED Gold certification, delivers a new level of human-centric design and amenities. In addition to the two restaurants from Chef Kreuther, the team behind acclaimed restaurants Llama San and Llama Inn are opening a new street-level restaurant showcasing Peruvian-Japanese cuisine on the 10th Ave. side of the tower. These partnerships with New York City’s top culinary talent at The Spiral is in keeping with Tishman Speyer’s approach for its reimagining of Rockefeller Center.

The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking

New York tri-state multifamily investors are increasingly reallocating capital to less-regulated markets across the U.S. as rent control and legislative risk erode returns at home. With over 60% of New York City’s rental housing stock classified as rent-stabilized, the traditional value-add model — buying under-performing buildings,
