Sushi Nikko opens at Long Island City’s JACX&CO Food Hall

Long Island City, NY Tishman Speyer today signed Sushi Nikko, an omakase-style sushi counter and restaurant, located on the mezzanine level at the JACX&CO food hall. The JACX&CO food hall is located at the base of Tishman Speyer’s The JACX office complex, located on Jackson Ave.

Sushi Nikko serves fresh, hand-crafted sushi which can be enjoyed at the omakase-style counter or seated in the restaurant’s main dining area. Menu items include maki and hand rolls, appetizers, miso soup, and a selection of Japanese beverages. Sushi Nikko was founded by chef Tony Wu, former chef at Bondi Sushi, with the mission to offer a great sushi experience outside of a sushi bar.

The JACX&CO food hall opened in November of 2020 and offers a curated selection of 8 vendors with a wide array of cuisine options including Cantonese barbecue, Mediterranean, dim sum, Mexican, thin-crust pizza, a café with pastries, natural fried chicken, and now high-quality sushi. Serving both office employees and the residential community, JACX&CO offers flexible dining options including online ordering for takeout and delivery, in addition to the option to dine on site. Developed by Tishman Speyer, The JACX opened in 2019 and offers customers of the 1.2 million s/f office destination meticulously designed workspaces, greenspaces including a one-acre park on the fifth floor and a rooftop terrace, and over 50,000 s/fof retail space which includes a boutique fitness center, a restaurant, and a gourmet market, in addition to the JACX&CO food hall. The building’s design features glass and terra-cotta, with elements of concrete. The JACX features two identical towers which are connected by a landscaped terrace, and views due to the 12-foot-high windows which span each floor.

“We are delighted to welcome the traditional Japanese cuisine of chef Tony Wu as this adds yet another enticing dining option to our selection of international culinary experiences,” said Kayle Birdoff, asset manager of JACX&CO. “Sushi Nikko is one of the many new dining and retail experiences which have recently opened at JACX&CO. Located in the bustling heart of Long Island City, JACX&CO continues to expand and offer new top-of-the-line experiences for its customers and residents of Long Island City.”
