New York, NY Thor Equities, a global leader in urban real estate development, leasing and management, has leased 3,800 s/f of retail space at 158 Franklin St. in TriBeCa to Urban Archaeology, according to company executives. The antique object fabrication business is relocating its showroom and retail space from its longtime home at 143 Franklin Street in Tribeca. Located on an iconic cobblestone street, the retail condo at 158 Franklin St. features a blue cast-iron storefront and 12-foot ceiling heights. The property, owned by Thor Equities, was previously occupied by Steven Alan Home. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to offer a new home to Urban Archaeology, a longtime Tribeca institution with a strong connection to the neighborhood,” said Melissa Gliatta, COO of Thor Equities. Prominent retailers in the surrounding area include Thom Browne, Issey Miyake, Patron of the New, James Perse, J.Crew and Rag & Bone. The neighborhood is also known for its trendy restaurants including Tetsu, Tribeca Grill, Brushstroke and Locanda Verde. In addition to Tribeca, Thor Equities owns properties in neighborhoods throughout Lower Manhattan including the Financial District, SoHo, Bowery, and the Meatpacking District.
