Jericho, NY The We’re Group has signed 73,000 s/f of new, renewal and expansion leases at buildings in three of its office parks on Long Island.

“Last year we executed a total of 57 transactions totaling 544,000 s/f of leases at multiple buildings in our office parks, 20% greater than the square footage signed in 2014. And this year the momentum is continuing at the same buoyant pace,” said Tony Fromer, a principal of the We’re Group. The deals include:

• Advantage Funding signed a new 12,000 s/f lease on the 2nd floor at 3 Dakota in the Lake Success Quadrangle, represented by Brian Lee of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, relocating from 1111 Marcus Ave.

• Esquire Bank N.A. signed a new 13,000 s/f lease for its corporate headquarters on the 1st floor at 100 Jericho Quadrangle, relocating from 320 Old Country Rd., Garden City.

• Shearman and Sterling LLP renewed  its 36,000 s/f lease on the 4th floor at 2 Huntington Quadrangle in Melville and was represented by Ray Ruiz and Kyle Crennan of Jones Lang LaSalle.

•Progressive Casualty Insurance Company, which moved to 29,000 s/f at 3 Dakota Dr. in the Lake Success Quadrangle in the fourth quarter of 2015, expanded by 8,000 s/f on the second floor and now commands a total of 37,000 s/f. Todd Heyman of THM Real Estate and Roger Wooster of Cushman & Wakefield co-brokered the transaction.

Fromer said, “We expect demand to continue to accelerate in 2016, fueled by the marked dearth of large blocks of class A office space in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.”
