Halfmoon, NY Public officials, business owners, and community leaders joined local real estate developer, The Rosenblum Cos., to celebrate the grand opening of ValuSpace Personal Storage facility, located at 1607 Rte. 9.  This is also Rosenblum’s first project in Saratoga County.

ValuSpace Halfmoon, a $9 million investment, consists of a three-story, 91,000 s/f, temperature-controlled main building and 20,000 s/f of single-story drive-up buildings. The newly constructed facility is between the Walmart Supercenter and the intersection of Rte. 9 and Halfmoon Crossing (Lowes, Home Depot, Aldi).

ValuSpace Halfmoon offers 618 temperature-controlled units on three floors as well as 114 drive-up storage units that range in size from 25 s/f to 300 s/f to meet the varied needs of homeowners, renters, and small businesses.

Storage Asset Management, Inc. (SAM), a full-service self-storage property management and consulting company, oversees daily operations at ValuSpace Halfmoon, as well as Rosenblum’s two other facilities, ValuSpace Troy and ValuSpace Albany.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony, The Rosenblum Cos. presented a $1,000 check for VFW Post 1498 to commander Dave Brinkmoeller.  VFW Post 1498 is located next to ValuSpace Halfmoon.

The facility also features:

  • Advanced security systems including personal code-controlled access, high-resolution digitally recording cameras and alarmed doors;
  • Rigorously maintained buildings and landscaped grounds;
  • An office with packing materials for sale, along with free coffee and bottled water for customers;
  • Professional staff onsite seven days a week.

“ValuSpace Halfmoon is our first project in Saratoga County, as well as our largest storage facility to date,” said Seth Rosenblum, CEO of The Rosenblum Cos. “We’re thrilled to increase our footprint of ‘better spaces’ in the region by utilizing a previously underdeveloped property for needed infrastructure that supports one of the fastest-growing towns in the fastest-growing county in New York State.”

“We are excited to welcome the new ValuSpace facility and The Rosenblum Cos. to the town of Halfmoon and Saratoga County,” said Halfmoon supervisor Kevin Tollisen.  “The Rosenblum Cos. are well known in the Capital District for their high quality and innovative commercial development projects and have been a leading force in the economic development success of our region for decades. That is why I am pleased they chose Halfmoon for their latest project and look forward to working closely with them in the future.”

“It was a pleasure working with representatives of The Rosenblum Cos. to help bring their unique style and brand of self-storage facility design to the town of Halfmoon and Saratoga County,” said Richard Harris, coordinator, building, planning & development, town of Halfmoon.  “This type of infill commercial development along one of the County’s most heavily travelled corridors represents the type of sustainable planning and economic development that will help Halfmoon and Saratoga County continue to grow and prosper while maintaining our quality of life.”

“Saratoga County’s business climate played a critical role in attracting this multi-million-dollar investment in Halfmoon,” said Saratoga County administrator Spencer Hellwig. “ValuSpace and The Rosenblum Development Cos. are providing a sought after service to accommodate the needs of our growing communities in southern Saratoga County. ”

In total, SAM manages over 190 properties encompassing over 12 million s/f of storage in 26 states.  The store manager at ValuSpace Halfmoon is Kimberly Adami, who will be relocating from ValuSpace Troy. Adami has over 20 years of retail experience.
