The Moinian Group to finish renovation of 13-story 60 Madison Avenue

The Moinian Group is set to complete an extensive multi-million dollar renovation of the 13-story, 195,000 s/f 60 Madison Ave., its landmarked office property in Midtown South. The final phase of renovations—upgrading 60 Madison's lobby—will begin early in the fourth quarter of this year. Upon completion, the new lobby will display Moinian's signature technique of blending a building's historic charm with high-end design. The upgrades will include all new windows, security, new elevator cabs and turnstiles, common corridors, a new lobby front, and a renovated glass and stone lobby interior designed by Gensler. "Madison Ave. is one of the most sought-after addresses in the country," said Gregg Weisser, senior vice president of leasing at The Moinian Group. "With the office rental market booming in Manhattan, tenants deserve office amenities that match their prestigious corporate address. This renovation will elevate 60 Madison Ave. to one of the elite office destinations in Midtown South, while reflecting our tenants' brands and reputations." Moinian has already completely renovated the third and fourth floors, marking the first time in years that there are full floor availabilities in the building. The two vacant, contiguous floors, totaling about 38,000 s/f, have an inter-connecting staircase, which can accommodate one large space user or several suites from 5,000 to 17,000 s/f. These vacancies are now available for leasing through Murray Hill Properties. Smaller office suites are also available for tenants who do not require the full two floors. These smaller vacant units at 60 Madison are available for lease through The Moinian Group. Additionally, the building is within walking distance of some of New York City's most popular lunchtime eateries, including Eataly, Shake Shack, Gramercy Tavern, Craft, Mesa Grill, BLT Prime, and Zen Palate. The building is also nestled amongst some of the best hotels in Manhattan, including NoMad, Ace, and Gansevoort. Adding to the draw of this locale, 60 Madison Avenue is situated within walking distance to a variety of subways, bus lines, and major transportation hubs, including Penn Station and Grand Central Station, making for an easy and convenient commute. For more than thirty years, The Moinian Group has strategically and continually invested early in premier office building locations, including Madison Square Park and the Flatiron office district. In addition to 60 Madison Avenue, Moinian's Midtown holdings include 295 Madison Avenue, 72 Madison Avenue, and 245 Fifth Avenue.
