TF Cornerstone leases 4,000 s/f to Klarel at 95 Horatio St.

Manhattan, NY According to TF Cornerstone (TFC), Klarel has opened a pop-up at 95 Horatio St. Klarel, an Italian sourced, direct-to-consumer furniture company has opened its first brick-and-mortar store at the base of TF Cornerstone’s residential rental building, 95 Horatio St, in the Meatpacking District. Klarel has leased 4,000 s/f of ground floor space.

“With strong retail presence in our residential buildings throughout the city, we continue to support the neighborhoods in which we develop by delivering high-quality retail with incredible brands like Klarel,” said Steve Gonzalez, vice president of retail leasing at TF Cornerstone.

Founded in 2018, Klarel has grown from a strong E-commerce brand to this first location. Klarel delivers enduring, intuitive home furniture for the modern-conscious consumer including mid-century modern armchairs, office chairs, coffee tables and more from renowned designers like Pierre Jeanneret. Unlike big-box retailers, Klarel designs and manufactures exclusive handmade furnishings directly from artisans in Italy, and has a stock of products year-round. All of Klarel’s products on the sales floor are available for delivery across New York City, with no assembly required.

“Opening Klarel’s first onsite retail location in the infamous Meatpacking District is a dream come true,” said Salomon Suissa, founder of Klarel. “After years of building the brand online, we want to provide our local customers a more personalized shopping experience featuring bespoke Italian pieces that will stand the test of time. I couldn’t imagine a better neighborhood for our first footprint.”

Both TFC and Klarel represented themselves in the lease signing.

Originally the Manhattan Refrigerating Company headquarters, 95 Horatio—now known as The West Coast—is located at the southernmost part of the High Line, next to the Whitney Museum of American Art. The building offers 318 rental apartments ranging in size from studios to four-bedrooms, including duplex and triplex homes. Many of its original architectural features have been retained, including ceiling heights of up to 14 ft. and exposed brick walls and architectural beams.

Klarel is open Sunday through Friday and is accessible at the 82 Gansevoort St. entrance on the side of the building. Additional retail tenants at 95 Horatio include Optima Salon Suites, Intermix, Christian Louboutin, Maman, Simo Neapolitan Pizza, Barbuto and web development company WIX.
