Syska Hennessy welcomes Nowak

New York, NY The global engineering firm Syska Hennessy has appointed Rich Nowak national director of business development and associate vice president. Based at Syska’s NYC headquarters, Nowak will oversee the growth of multiple practices and services across the U.S.

Nowak is a sales veteran who specializes in smart building technologies, building performance optimization, and systems integration. He joins Syska following a 22-year tenure at Siemens, where he served most recently as segment head, smart buildings & building automation, North America. At Siemens, Nowak oversaw sales and business development teams, significantly increased revenues, trained staff to maximize cross-selling opportunities, and launched a smart building program. He received several company awards for his achievements.

“Rich has an in-depth knowledge of the newest advances in engineering,” says senior principal John Passanante. “Our clients will appreciate his insight, as will his colleagues.”

Senior principal Joseph O’Sullivan said: “Rich will ensure that our further growth is supported in a strategic fashion. We feel fortunate that he’s joined the team.”

Nowak holds the degrees of MBA in MIS and finance and BS in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
