Svitchan joins FXFOWLE Architects as principal

According to FXFOWLE Architects, Douglas Svitchan, AIA has joined the firm as principal. Svitchan will oversee the firm's Washington, D.C. office, further expand FXFOWLE's presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, manage diverse building projects throughout the metropolitan area, and engage new and existing government, institutional, corporate and developer clients. "We are thrilled that Doug has joined the FXFOWLE team," said managing partner Guy Geier, FAIA, FIIDA, LEED AP. "He brings over 39 years of principal-level experience on a wide-range of architectural and planning projects. His business philosophy and insight are invaluable, and will bring a new breadth to the entire firm." "I am very pleased to join FXFOWLE's leadership group," said Svitchan. "I look forward to bringing my depth of experience to the firm, and working together to assemble and manage multi-disciplinary teams to undertake each new project in the Mid-Atlantic region with integrity, commitment, and enthusiasm." Prior to joining FXFOWLE, Svitchan was president of Still & Svitchan Associates, the firm he co-founded in 1992, where he was responsible for managing the architectural services provided by the design team. He served as design principal/project manager on a wide variety of new, renovation, and historical restoration projects during his tenure with Still & Svitchan Associates.
