Summit Federal Credit Union Irondequoit honored: $1 million project

According to SWBR Architects, the Irondequoit Branch of The Summit Federal Credit Union has been awarded the Best New Building for 2009 from the Beautification Committee of the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce. The Summit was presented with the award at the Chamber of Commerce's annual holiday dinner. Franklin D'Aurizio, president of the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce said that, "Business property owners who choose to put their time, energy and funds into projects such as yours make an enormous difference for the businesses and residents of our town." SWBR has designed all of the Summit's new branches including Brighton, Penfield, Clarence, Hilton and North Buffalo and was the architect from design through construction. The 3,850 s/f Irondequoit branch is located at 2121 Hudson Ave. in the Irondequoit Plaza and features six teller stations, a drive-through for teller transactions and a drive-up ATM. The project cost was $1 million. Michael Vadala, president and CEO of The Summit said, "We're thrilled to continue our relationship with SWBR and for our continued plan for growth in the Rochester area. These new signature-design, full-service locations will allow us to better serve our current and future members as we add convenient branches to our network." SWBR Architects is an award-winning architectural practice serving local and east coast clients.
