Its tough being an independent shop in the world we live in. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2012? : Opened the first 3 Smashburger units on Long Island in 2012 with 4 other units scheduled to open in 2013. What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2013? : I think business will be good in 2013. The fast casual segment will continue to be "hot" along with the gyms. Hopefully the "fiscal cliff" will be put behind us in the early part of 2013 and not be a huge drag on our business. What are your resolutions for 2013? : I'm not a big believer in resolutions but I'd like to spend a bit more time at the gym and a bit more time on vacation.
