Stegman joins The Impulsive Group as general mgr. of Sanctuary

New York-based hospitality real estate firm, The Impulsive Group, has recently hired Jeffrey Stegman as general manager of Sanctuary, a new boutique hotel currently being developed at 132 West 47th St. between 6th and 7th Aves. By first quarter 2009, when work is scheduled to be completed, the two-star Portland Square Hotel will have been transformed into a luxury four-star property, boasting 120 rooms and an exclusive duplex penthouse apartment with roof access and views of Times Square.  Stegman has an extensive background in rooms, hotel openings and renovations with an emphasis on F&B. In his new position, he will focus on overseeing the daily operation and management of the staff, organize and direct all hotel services, ensure customer satisfaction and implement effective business management and financial viability for the property. "I am very excited to begin a new challenge of repositioning a property to an upscale boutique/lifestyle hotel for a more discerning clientele," said Stegman.
