Square Design leases 24,000 s/f at Industry City

Brooklyn, NY Industry City, the 35-acre mixed-use campus in Sunset Park, has welcomed Square Design, a full-service design and fabrication company specializing in custom immersive environments, with a 24,000 s/f lease in Building 26. The space will accommodate the company’s growing fabrication and design facilities as it continues to scale in both New York and Los Angeles.

Square Design is known for its high-end custom design, fabrication, and installation work spanning sets, props, experiential environments and bespoke builds. The company has executed projects for a wide range of clients ranging from independent retailers to global brands including Google, Travel + Leisure, Target, Adult Swim and A&E. Its team of skilled artists are dedicated to creating immersive, detail-driven environments.

Industry City’s in-house leasing team of senior vice president Jeff Fein and leasing manager Brad Blum brokered the transaction.

“Square Design’s move to Industry City reflects the kind of growth we’re seeing from design and fabrication firms that need room to build, test, and scale,” said Industry City’s senior vice president of leasing, Fein. “Our campus is designed to support companies like Square Design, whether they need high-end creative offices or production-ready infrastructure, all within a broader creative and production ecosystem.”

More than 1.3 million s/f of the Industry City campus is currently leased by makers, designers, and artisans, reflecting the district’s longstanding commitment to Brooklyn’s creative economy. The addition of Square Design further strengthens a community that now includes over 270 creative businesses and more than 650 companies campus-wide.

“Our work has always been about turning ideas into physical reality through collaboration, craftsmanship, and problem-solving,” said Square Design’s CEO and creative director Adam Sober. “This next chapter allows our team to work more fluidly across design, engineering, and fabrication while staying deeply connected to New York’s creative community. As we continue to grow, our Industry City studio works in parallel with our Los Angeles presence to support increasingly complex and ambitious projects.”
