SMPS-LI hosts 2nd Annual Canstruction Gala

On October 30, SMPS-LI hosted the Second Annual Canstruction Gala at RexCorp Plaza. There were 10 design teams that participated and the structures yielded a contribution of over 33,000 cans of food for Long Island Cares, Inc./The Harry Chapin Food Bank. Greenman-Pedersen's entry "A Cab to Nab Hunger" was awarded Juror's Favorite and Best Meal, the Spector Group's entry "3...2...1...Blast Off Hunger" was awarded Structural Ingenuity, H2M's entry "Extinguishing Hunger" was awarded Best Meal and was recognized for contributing over 8,100 cans, and Honorable Mention was given to Gibbons, Esposito & Boyce Engineers for their entry "Come Sail Away...From Hunger."
