Siano of CB Richard Ellis leads introduction and expansion for Massage Envy

Since being appointed the exclusive leasing agent for Massage Envy in 2007, CB Richard Ellis's retail pro Jayson Siano has been able to create and execute a highly targeted introduction and expansion strategy for the company that has translated to the opening of eight new locations throughout Long Island. Thus far in 2009, Siano has arranged six new lease transactions for the national company totaling 17,897 s/f. Among the newest deals signed, Massage Envy leased 3,200 s/f of retail space at 47 Main St. in Port Washington; 3,300 s/f at Airport Plaza in Farmingdale; 2,627 s/f at the Merrick Commons Shopping Center in Merrick; 3,570 s/f at the Kohl's Shopping Center in Rocky Point; 3,000 s/f at the South Gate Shopping Center in Massapequa and 2,200 s/f at Treeco's in Plainview. Last year, Siano was instrumental in Massage Envy opening its first two locations in the New York Tri-State region, at 3153 Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside and 5001 Jericho Turnpike in Commack. In addition to the initial eight leases, Siano will continue to assist the company in targeting locations and rolling out another 15 clinics in Long Island with several more planned in Westchester & the NYC Outer Boroughs over the next few years. Since opening its first location in Scottsdale, Arizona in March 2002, Massage Envy® has expanded to almost 350 relaxation clinics around the country. 2024 Year in Review: William O’Brien, M.C. O’Brien, Inc.

What noteworthy transactions or deals from this year best exemplified key market trends or shifts? I would like to say there was an outstanding transaction for me this past year but 2024 was more a culmination of long-term relationships, most of which continued to transact. Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
