Serota Development joins executive board of the Association for a Better Long Island

Hauppauge,NY According to Laureen Harris, Esq., president of the Association for a Better Long Island (ABLI), Serota Development, LLC has been elected as the latest executive board member of the organization. Representing some $15 billion in commercial, industrial, retail and residential properties across Long Island it has been a longtime advocate for public policies that create a strong economy and opportunities for sustained growth. Harris said, “We are delighted to welcome Serota Development and its principle, Daniel Serota, to the ABLI.  Dan is an extraordinary real estate leader whose vision and energy will bring additional depth to our board as we continue to advocate on behalf of orderly economic growth throughout Long Island." After serving more than six years as a member of the village of Brookville Planning Board and Architectural Review Board, Serota was elected as trustee and deputy mayor of Brookville. In 2013, he was elected mayor of Brookville and also serves as police commissioner of the Old Brookville Police Department. During his many years of service, Serota has been closely involved in all aspects of the village and has a solid reputation for his strong ideas, hard work ethics and leadership skills. Serota said, “I am truly honored to have been nominated and then elected to the executive board of the Association for a Better Long Island.  The ABLI is the premier organization for advancing the interests of a prosperous and successful Long Island. I look forward to working with the Board and all of our members to help create a regional climate for economic growth. I would also like to thank all the members who supported me and elected me to the board.” Privately held, Serota Development has developed retail, office and residential property in the greater New York metropolitan area.
