Spotlights

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Hank Minskoff, Douglaston Development

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I am most proud of our team’s recent work at NYCHA PACT Linden-Penn Wortman. Through the program, our team is currently rehabilitating 1,922 units of public housing units across 24 buildings and four city blocks in East New York Brooklyn.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: KJ Hong, KBE-NY

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Every successful project has solid teamwork behind it. At KBE-NY, we believe the project team’s everyday efforts — demonstrating dedication, loyalty, and our other core values — is what leads to great projects.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Joshua Glasser, Tredway

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? It would have to be working for a development firm, Tredway, that constantly aims to raise the bar while making a tangible and positive impact.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Jeff Ehrlich, Olive Tree Holdings

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? 2021 was the fastest rent growth that the US has seen. It spurred us to gut and rebuild our forecasting models for market rental growth.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Angela Dewar, Bergmeyer

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? James B. Beam Distilling Company’s campus renovation in Clermont, KY. Our team elevated the consumer experience, touching many buildings and aspects of the consumer journey.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Henry Korzec, Raise Commercial Real Estate

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Joining the founding New York City team at Raise! Our entire team was thrilled about the opportunity to join a VC-backed, technology-driven, full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Ryan McGuirl, Avison Young

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? My first origination at AY was a multi-family deal in Greenwich Village for a buyer with very specific criteria. I never stopped working on it and after over a year found the right needle in the haystack.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Regina Loveridge, JASA Housing Management

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? This year alone, I have managed nearly $15 million in capital improvements to JASA’s affordable senior housing portfolio, working to enhance the living experience of the older New Yorkers who call those buildings home.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: James Nestor, Ariel Property Advisors

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Our team sold a Northern Manhattan development site offering 145,918 buildable s/f. It was rewarding to see this deal close for $12 million because the site had a complex history and had been vacant since 2008 when plans for a residential development collapsed because of the financial crisis.

Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Michelle Zere, Zere Real Estate Services

Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices? For over 38 years I have been in the commercial real estate industry and mentored in my childhood since eleven years old. I was raised by a strong force of nature mother, Marie Zere. The kind of woman that just gets things done, a rainmaker, a fighter.
