I believe I met Kristine Wolf and was introduced to NYREJ in 2012, I was active with AREW on the board as co-director of sponsorship (now CREW) and it was fantastic to meet someone who was doing so much to support women in the industry.
How has NYREJ helped you, your firm or your industry? I started writing a monthly article for the NYREJ over 20 years ago. My goal was and is to educate agents new to commercial and investment brokerage and serve as a review of basics for existing practitioners.

Profiles and thought leadership opportunities to publish articles on critical industry issues were beneficial for my career growth and development. I discovered NYREJ in the mid-2000s while serving as an architectural consultant for multiple landlords such as Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (formerly W&H Properties). I was a young PM and wanted to understand the market’s dynamics

Most memorable “15 minutes of fame” in NYREJ: Back in 2014, our firm brought on a large group of professionals from a firm called Hofheimer Gartlir & Gross. After over 100 years in existence, Hofheimer dissolved that summer. This was the first big expansion of Romer Debbas, LLP and was the start of the rapid growth
When did you discover NYREJ and what was your title and company name at that time? It was 2014 and I had just made the move from teaching to my first marketing and communications role at Lendlease. How has NYREJ helped you, your firm or your industry? NYREJ is a longstanding champion of the built environment and the people who make it.
How has NYREJ helped you, your firm or your industry? NYREJ has given me a platform to share some experiences in the industry and practical ways to resolve legal issues that arise. I am continually surprised by people in the industry who mention to me that they saw some of my columns.

When did you discover NYREJ and what was your title and company name at that time? Two decades ago when I started in the commercial mortgage finance industry as an associate producer with GMAC Commercial Mortgage.
Manhattan, NY Herman Katz, LLP (the firm) was founded in 2005 with the merger of the law practices of Jay M. Herman and Robert S. Katz, two well-known and very experienced property valuation litigation attorneys (Tax Certiorari, Eminent Domain, etc.), with three employees.
Q: What milestone achievement would you consider the “game-changer” in advancing your career? A: Founding IREON was most certainly a game-changer in my career. I started this organization because I only wanted to work among “trusted, caring friends” who are motivated to help each other expand their business opportunities.
When did you discover NYREJ, and what was your title and company name? I can’t pinpoint the exact year. EW Howell has had a long-term relationship with NYREJ, and this was underway when I joined EW Howell Construction Group as director of business development.
When did you discover NYREJ and what was your title and company name at that time? In 2004 I joined LVM Group, a PR firm that specialized in commercial real estate, as an account supervisor. That’s when I discovered NYREJ.
How has NYREJ helped you, your firm or your industry? As someone who strongly believes “it’s not who you know, but who knows you”, being in the NYREJ 540 times means that we were working on our market presence and NYREJ helped us get the word out about what we were doing and how we were doing it.
Most memorable “15 minutes of fame” in NYREJ: I’d have to say our most memorable and favorite “15 Minutes of Fame” NYREJ moment was when Maltz Auctions (formerly David R. Maltz & Co.) was highlighted as the “Company of the Month” in November 2014
