Scott joins Grassi as litigation support principal

According to Grassi & Co., John Scott, CPA/ABV, ASA, CBA, CFF, FACFEI, has joined the firm as a principal. Scott brings with him over 25 years of experience in complex litigation, valuation, forensic investigations and mergers and acquisitions. Scott will focus primarily on expanding the firm's already-extensive line of litigation support services. Prior to joining Grassi & Co., he served as a consultant and/or expert witness in complex litigation cases related to intellectual property and intangible asset valuation including patent copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets, valuation of businesses related to shareholder/partner disputes, business and marital dissolutions, estate tax issues, oppressed minority shareholder disputes, lost profits and commercial damages, calculation of economic damages related to wrongful death/wrongful termination, construction claims, insurance claims related to business interruption, disability and personal injury, forensic accounting investigations related to criminal tax cases and government programs, and business fraud involving commercial entities, governmental units and not-for-profit organizations.
