Scelfo of Certilman Balin recognized by Hofstra Law School at its “Outstanding Women in Law Reception”

East Meadow, NY Rachel Scelfo, of counsel to the land use and zoning practice group at Certilman Balin, was one of 50 to be honored on Tuesday, April 26th by the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University at its “Outstanding Women in Law Reception,” which was held at the Carlyle on the Green at Bethpage State Park.

Scelfo earned her Juris Doctor in 2002 from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. From Stony Brook University in 1999, she earned a master of arts in Political Science, concentrating in Public Policy; and in 1998, a bachelor of arts in Political Science and History. She is a member of the Babylon Village zoning board, and serves on the board of directors of the Art League of Long Island. She also serves as vice president of the West Babylon Public Library board of trustees. Admitted to practice in the state of New York, Scelfo is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association. She is based in the firm’s Hauppauge office.

She resides with her husband John Farrell and their two children in Babylon Village.

The reception raises funds for the programs at Hofstra Law, including The Center for Children, Families and the Law.
