Scelfo of Certilman Balin named vice chair of NCBA Municipal Law Committee

East Meadow, NY Rachel Scelfo (resident of Babylon Village), of counsel to the Land Use and Zoning Practice Group at Certilman Balin, was recently appointed Vice Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Municipal Law Committee. The Municipal Law Committee reviews trends and developments concerning zoning and planning, elections, employee relations, open meetings law, and preparation and enforcement of ordinances and local laws.    Scelfo earned her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2002. From Stony Brook University in 1999, she earned a Master of Arts in Political Science, concentrating in Public Policy; and in 1998, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. She is a member of the Babylon Village Zoning Board, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Art League of Long Island. She also serves as Vice President of the West Babylon Public Library Board of Trustees. Admitted to practice in the state of New York, Scelfo is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
