Bizzi & Partners Development said that sales are underway at their second New York City development: The Leonard, a new condominium in Tribeca. Upon completion in the summer of 2014, The Leonard - a circa 1904 neoclassical building re-envisioned with new design - will comprise 66 contemporary residences and many amenities. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is the exclusive sales and marketing agency.
"At Bizzi & Partners, we look for opportunities to affect positive change in evolving neighborhoods while preserving and promoting local culture, so The Leonard represents our niche," said Steven Della Salla, managing principal at Bizzi, also responsible for The Residences at 400 Fifth Ave., the Gwathmey-Siegel project that re-branded Midtown South. "We are very excited about this project, not only because The Leonard has all the components of a coveted Tribeca condominium - classic pre-war architecture, modern design and superlative service - but because we believe it's a positive addition to Tribeca's burgeoning northeast corner."
The 12-story building is located at 101 Leonard St., at the corner of Broadway, and will soon be restored to its original grandeur following an extensive renovation by Bizzi & Ptrs. and floor plans by SLCE Architects. With interiors by Mitchell Freedland Design, The Leonard will present a mix of contemporary one- to three- bedroom residences ranging from 835 to 1,963 s/f, including three first-floor lofts with over 15-foot ceilings, and a collection of expansive three- and four-bedroom penthouses starting at 2,666 s/f, two with private terraces.
Residences showcase Appalachian hard wood-oak flooring, natural light, and 10.5-foot ceilings. Open living rooms blend with curated kitchens, featuring custom cabinetry in polished wood and llacquer finishes, quartzite countertops, basin sinks, proMiele cooktops, islands, Grohe fixtures, and Energy STAR appliances, including Miele and Liebherr. Master baths, appointed with natural limestone and wood, provide serenity and spa-like comforts with soaking tubs, frameless glass showers, all with Grohe fixtures, and custom double vanities with back-lit mirrors and storage.
"The immediate sales activity at The Leonard is a testament to Bizzi's superior product and the remarkable value of northeast Tribeca," said Karen Mansour, executive vice president of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. "The Leonard presents a compelling opportunity to live in a new full-service condominium with beautiful architecture in Manhattan's most coveted neighborhood."
