Rotante of Colliers International completes 59,323 s/f lease renewal for law firm RK&O at Brookfield Place

Colliers International has arranged a 59,323 s/f renewal on behalf of law firm Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP, (RK&O) which will continue to occupy its headquarters space at 200 Liberty St., part of the Brookfield Place complex. RK&O serves the financial and business communities and has offices in New York City, Washington, DC, and London. The firm occupies the entire 28th and 29th floors at 200 Liberty St. The entire complex is owned and operated by Brookfield Office Properties. "The floor plate, location, and renovation to the Brookfield Place complex provide RK&O with an excellent platform to continue the firm's prosperity well into the future," said Ted Rotante, an executive managing director with Colliers, who arranged the renewal on behalf of RK&O. "Brookfield's redesign of the retail, dining, and public spaces in Brookfield Place, when combined with the outdoor space, retail and transportation at the World Trade Center campus, offer a plethora of amenities for RK&O's clients and employees." David Cheikin and Christopher Zizza of Brookfield Office Properties represented the landlord in-house. 200 Liberty St. is the southernmost office tower at the Brookfield Place complex. The building consists of more than 1.7 million square feet of office and retail space, along with interior and exterior public amenities. Other tenants include international corporate firms such as Willis and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Brookfield Place, located at the forefront of Lower Manhattan, encompasses more than eight million square feet within the four unique copper-crowned granite and glass office towers designed by Cesar Pelli. As one of New York City's premier business addresses, Brookfield Place features extensive public spaces, dozens of shops and restaurants, and a stunning outdoor waterfront esplanade along the Hudson River.
