The guest speakers included the following:
* Kent Gardner, PhD, president and chief economist of the Center for Governmental Research, spoke about the local economy.
* Heidi Zimmer-Meyer, president of the Rochester Downtown Development Corp. (RDDC), addressed the central business district office real estate market.
* Angelo Nole, Jr., Esq., executive VP of CBRE, discussed the suburban office real estate market.
The purpose of BOMA Rochester is to actively and responsibly represent the interests of the commercial real estate industry, its management, vendors and related businesses. This mission will be accomplished through effective leadership and active involvement by providing opportunities to foster business relationships, professional development, dissemination of information and advocacy.
BOMA holds monthly meetings throughout the year. Aside from some special events such as building tours of local points of interest and a golf tournament, the meetings focus on a subject matter that is of interest to the building professions. Meetings are luncheon meetings with the cost included in the membership dues.
