Residential NYC.com reaches 2.5m hits and 103,000 page views

According to The Real Estate Board of New York, Inc. (REBNY), the city's oldest and largest real estate trade association, as of November 4, ResidentialNYC.com www.residentialnyc.com/ has logged more than 2.5 million hits and 103,000 page views by nearly 20,000 unique visitors. The average visitor spent nearly nine minutes on the site. The numbers indicate that visitors are viewing multiple listings and accessing the plethora of information on the site, with each accessing an average of five pages. By clicking a property listing link, visitors are directed to a page on a participating broker's site, so those are not counted among the five pages viewed by the average unique visitor. Launched on September 28th, ResidentialNYC.com is the first comprehensive web site enabling home buyers to link to thousands of exclusive home listings in New York City from thousands of REBNY residential member brokers. The site will provide access to condos, co-ops, townhouses and homes both for sale and for rent. The web site also contains a wealth of information about New York City's residential real estate market, neighborhoods, school districts and more. "Although it launched only a little over a month ago, ResidentialNYC.com already is changing the way consumers shop for homes in New York City," said Steven Spinola, REBNY's president. "Gone are the days that home buyers needed to visit dozens of Web sites to get a comprehensive listing of available homes for sale meeting their needs. And because of REBNY's strict rules governing brokers' listings through our RLS System, home buyers can be assured that if a home is displayed on ResidentialNYC.com, it is actually available. There's no bait and switch on ResidentialNYC.com."
